SAN FRANCISCO- Singha Beer has revealed its next artist for the latest stop of the global Singha TransPortraits campaign. On Saturday February 12, 2011, artist Augustine Kofie, aka Kofie One, will create the next Singha TransPortrait in San Francisco. Growing up in Los Angeles, Kofie One began his career as a muralist in the 1990s LA graffiti scene. From there his technique transformed into his signature architecturally-inspired mechanically detailed line-work. In his work, Kofie One draws inspiration from a variety of different mediums like architecture, typography, 1960’s iconography, contemporary music and street culture. Kofie One's signature organically complex structures and heavy earth-tone palette develop into a multi-layered, architecturally inspired world that is a vintage futuristic realm not subject to gravity.
